DRAFT meets on the second Friday night of each month at the local German Club (Liederkranz-Turner building) on 5th street in downtown Dayton (1400 East Fifth Street, Dayton, OH 45402)
Our meetings start at 7:00 pm. We generally have a educational presentation at 7:30 with a brief business meeting at 8:00 pm. Food is available for a inexpensive donation ($1.00 to $2.00).
Every September we have Brew Fest on the first Saturday after the Second Friday (just slightly confusing). Brew Fest is a day long open competition that is part of the Midwest Brewers Award.
BrewTensils is a local home-brew store that sponsors our Brewter’s Cup which consists of 6 competitions where everyone can earn points and the person with the most points receives the award in December at the Christmas Dinner.
There is also a Rock-It Cup competition that is more low key and happens the off months of the Brewsters Cup competitions. Bottom line, we provide education, competitions at various levels and a good group of brewers to network with.
Dues are simply $24.00 per year for a family membership. Everyone is welcome to our meetings free of charge for up to 3 months to try us out.
