Competition Schedule (Click month for registration or results)

January will be an open to all BJCP styles. This competition will be BJCP certified.

March will be limited to German beers only. This competition will be BJCP certified.

May will be a clone brew competition. Register by May 2, entries due at Brewtensils May 7.  Each entry must be accompanied by the beer the brewer was attempting to clone. This competition will not be BJCP certified.

June will be limited to Wood and Smoked beers. Register by June 20, entries due at Brewtensils June 25.  All entries must have been wood aged and/or smoked. This competition will be BJCP certified.

September will be DRAFT competition BeerFest. This competition is open, but will require an entry fee. This will be BJCP certified.

November will be our annual Iron Brewer competition. Based of the hit TV show “Iron Chef” brewers will be required to meet a certain demand in their beers. In 2009 the requirement was using 8oz of a breakfast cereal. In 2010 the requirement was the use of a specific candy you were randomly assigned. For 2011 we have decided to try something different. Most beer is brewed with a combination of Water, Yeast, Barley, and Hops. It is this last ingredient we have decided to exclude. The brewers beer entered into the November competition will be required to contain no hops used at any point in the brewing or fermenting. This competition will not be BJCP certified. This competition will require 6 bottles for entry and will be judged by popular vote at the November DRAFT meeting.
